QA Engineer & Tester

Do you get energized by breaking things on purpose and making them better than before? At Flashgroup, you will help shape the reliability of VR training solutions for emergency services and ensure every simulation feels robust, safe, and seamless.

What you will be doing

  • Testing immersive VR training applications from interaction systems to complex emergency response scenarios.
  • Designing, executing, and maintaining test plans (functional, regression, performance, hardware, and compatibility).
  • Documenting and reporting bugs in ClickUp, including clear reproduction steps, logs, and priority tagging.
  • Collaborating with developers, designers, and 3D artists to ensure features meet requirements and quality standards.
  • Building automated test flows where possible (Unity Test Framework, API tests, or custom tooling).
  • Ensuring performance, stability, and UX quality across VR hardware (Quest, HTC, PCVR).
  • Contributing to QA process improvements, including test documentation, workflows, and release practices.
  • Staying up to date with VR testing trends, hardware updates, and best practices in simulation QA.

What we are looking for

Required:

  • 1/2 years of experience in QA/testing, preferably in games, VR, or interactive simulations.
  • Strong understanding of Unity-based applications and interaction systems.
  • Experience with test case creation, structured testing, defect tracking, and regression cycles.
  • Familiarity with VR hardware testing (Meta Quest, HTC, Pico, or similar).
  • Clear and structured communication skills.
  • A critical, analytical mindset with a strong focus on detail.
  • Experience working with ClickUp or similar project/QA management tools.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with the Unity Test Framework, automated pipelines, or profiling tools.
  • Knowledge of multiplayer testing (e.g., Mirror).
  • Background in the emergency services or training simulation domain (not required).
  • Interest in UX evaluation, accessibility, and user comfort in VR.
  • Ability to develop small testing tools or scripts to support QA processes.

What we offer you

  • 2,750-3,000 salary range, based on experience.
  • On-site work with hybrid possibilities.
  • A unique office in the ANNAstede church in Breda, adding inspiration to the workday.
  • A supportive, international team with plenty of room for growth.
  • A dedicated personal development budget.
  • Freedom to shape QA processes, take ownership, and elevate quality standards.
  • Regular team outings and monthly end-of-the-month borrels; always with new concepts.
  • A full-time role with competitive benefits.
