Audio Engineer

Hello sound wizard! Are you passionate about crafting immersive audio experiences, designing sound effects, and bringing digital worlds to life through sound? Then we just might have the perfect stage for you! 

Your role at a glance

  • Design and create sound effects for VR training scenarios.
  • Record, edit, and mix audio to enhance realism and user immersion.
  • Implement audio in Unity using audio mixers, triggers, and spatial audio setups.
  • Work closely with developers and designers to ensure audio supports gameplay.
  • Optimize audio performance for VR environments and hardware.
  • Troubleshoot audio issues and ensure consistent sound quality.
  • Interested in building audio landscapes that elevate immersive simulations? 

Skills and equipment

  • You are following a relevant vocational or higher professional education course.
  • Experience with audio creation and editing tools (Reaper, Pro Tools, Audition, Ableton, etc.)
  • Understanding of sound design, mixing, and audio processing.
  • Basic familiarity with Unity and implementing audio in-engine.
  • Knowledge of spatial audio or 3D sound is a big plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and an ear for realistic sound. 
  • A creative mindset and willingness to experiment.
  • Interest in VR or game audio is beneficial, but not required.
